Pourtney Pattle- Chapter X (Final Chapter)

Image
The guardians were running and approaching my friends. They knew my fight was only with Oksa and would not disturb. Before they had the chance to torture them, Robert quickly grabbed a pitchfork from a gladiator mannequin standing next to him. The guardians surrounded them all in a circle. They were trapped and could not run away. Until Howlie said, "Just fight with our bare hands- It's what we only got!" Oksa swung his sword but I was so quick that I dodged it. I went a few steps backwards as Oksa came closer and closer. Fear dominated my spirit and it transfered into my brain to tell me to paralyze. "It's over, young lady!" Oksa ran towards me, holding his sword with both of his hands and lifted it above his head. I was so scared that I tripped and fell on my back. Shutting my eyes was the only thing I was capable to do at this moment. With my closed eyes, I created a vision of Oksa's sword being thrown away and fell to the ground. Sudde...

Pourtney Pattle- Chapter IX

In Karlie hands, she held a shimmering necklace. Its chain got the colour gold with a blue majestic locket in the middle of it. Karlie looked at me through the bars and said- "This necklace belongs to you, Pourtney Pattle. It was supposed to be hung on your neck since you were in your crib but the Earthers took you away before Ratu Rania had time to wear it out on you." Karlie took a few steps and moved to my back. I looked on my chest and saw her putting the locket on it. The moment Karlie locked my locket up, I felt an energy in my that I have never felt before. The blue locket suddenly glowed on my chest and it lighted up half of my body! I could feel the energy ran through my veins from my heart. It flowed down like a river to both of my hands and legs. My whole body was covered by the energy, which I did not even know what it was. "Your life will never be the same anymore," Marlie threw out a statement. "With this locket, you can control eve...

"I am here with Pourtney Pattle and her friends!" Howlie hugged her eldest sister through the iron bars. "She is back? How come she is here? Which one is she?" Marlie stood beside her older sister, Karlie while she was hugging Howlie. The youngest one dissolved the hug and pointed at me. "She is Pourtney Pattle". Unexpectedly, Karlie and Marlie bowed with full of respect to me. "Your Highness," they said. I didn't know what to respond towards their treatment. Nobody has ever bowed to me before. And that's normal, isn't it? "Why didn't you come to us in the very beginning? You let us suffer alone here in the darkness!" Karlie let out her anger and disappointment. Marlie frowned and shredded her brows. "I'm sorry.. You know how much  I'm wanted by the goverment. If I come to here they'd arrest me. I was afraid.."  "They're not the goverment. They're just colonizer...

Pourtney Pattle- Chapter VII

The biggest castle that has ever reached my eyesight. Truthful, I've never seen any castles nor mansion nor dreamhouse before. The castle stood symmetrically by the tallest trees accessorising it.  So it was a mountain with a gigantic castle in the middle of it.  Ironically, it was never winter anymore. We saw amber leaves falling from the trees. Everything was amber and brown and turning us melancholy and stunned. The season changed? How? "It's spring?" Daniel asked while taking his sweater off. His action automatically made us took ours off as well.  "Here, it's always spring. There, it's always winter," Howlie answered. It gave us the information that seasons depend on its region, and it stayed forever. "We are going to sneak into the castle, but the gateaways are full of guardians. We need a plan," Howlie stared at the castle seriously. "They don't have CCTVs, don't they? So it's a piece of cake,...

"Everything is just so confusing," Daniel walked next to me. Hugging his own body while tucking his hands under the armpits. The sweaters Howlie gave us to borrow wasn't enough to hinder the coldness. "Yeah, but we just have to believe. It's the only thing we are able to do for now. Am I right, Pourtney?" Jasmine stepped a little faster to see my face as she walked behind me. I looked away and gave them silence. How I noticed Jasmine started to called me Pourtney gave me numbness. I myself was still not sure whether I buy this or otherwise. But my heart told me to follow along the flow. Howlie was leading us to where the population lives, she said. Then, we'll go to the palace where Oksa sits on his illegal throne. Walking in this snow turned my skin a little colder, absorbed into my veins and swelled in my heart. We saw a number of trees. White trees. Like Albino Redwood that  I read about a few days ago. I couldn't deny and have to...

"Long.. Long ago.. We here in Fixtan had a pair of King and Queen. There were such kind and pure-hearted administrators. We lived in peace as no soul could threaten us," Howlie started her story with a nostalgic intonation. She looked down and made a little frown. "But in here, we don't call them as King nor Queen. They got the title Raja and Ratu, and so we hailed my brother, Raja Romee and his lovely wife, Ratu Rania". "So you're Raja Romee's sister?" Jasmine interrupted. "Little sister, yes." Howlie nodded, holding her own hands as she continued her story. "When you were born, Pourtney, everybody in Fixtan were so delighted to know that the couple finally became a family. Raja and Ratu was overwhelmingly happy that they made a festival for your presence for a week non-stop. I was grateful too, for having the only sister-in-law in my life. You were really-"  "But how do you know I am Raja Ro...

Pourtney Pattle- Chapter IV

She opened the wooden door, walked in and let us walk in. It was an old, small wooden cottage. I followed Robert's steps, walking in to the cottage, with crack sounds on the floor as our feet hit it. The first thing that captured my eyes was the living room. Two vintage sofas was contrary put on the side of the living room. In the centre of the room, there was a dark coffe table. The window was closed, perhaps it was too cold.  "Make yourself at home. Do patiently sit while I make some lovely tea," The lady made us sit on the sofas awkwardly. How would we feel great if we just walked through a big ashtonishing hole, woke up in an unknown place which was in winter, and now were in an old lady's cottage. I still couldn't understand and digest what was going on. A couple of minutes after, she came back with a tray of teacups. While putting it on the coffee table, she said "Have a taste, they all loved my tea". All of us took a teacup ...
