Love and Like

Assalammualaikum and hey,
I guess I didn't post much lately. I have so much things to share but time didn't allow me to. And I can say that I'm kind of free today so let's have a talk. It's only a few days left until 2017. Are you ready? Am I ready? But I'm not gonna talk about that.

Today I'm going to talk about the difference between love and like. First, what is the definition of love? And what is the definition of like?

LOVE (luhv); verb- FEEL AFFECTION. to have very strong feelings of affection for somebody: "I love you."

LIKE (lark); verb- to find somebody / something pleasant, attractive or of a good enough standard; to enjoy something: "She is nice. I like her."

Before anything, I want to say that I myself found it's hard to find the true definition of love in life. Not in a formal version such as dictionary. Still young to carry all those. Still young to understand.

But what I see as a conclusion is there is a huge difference between love and like. I know you do too. And if you don't, keep reading. (also keep reading if you do)

What is "like" in my eyes is when one is attracted to the other one. Whether by the face, body, or behaviour. Mostly by the prettiness and the surface.

What is "love" in my eyes is when one adores and falls for the other one. None of  face, body, and behaviour are the reason one adores the other one. It may because something special in them they could see. Beauty. Beauty is a thing which not everybody can see in someone. Or even something. I feel lucky and special if someone sees the beauty in me. They must have been closed to me until they can see the thing in my soul. Like it's transparent. Even I'm still finding what is 'me'. To me, what's the biggest love is when one loves the other one unconditionally. Isn't it magical?

Here, I'm not telling that if one adores the other one by the surface, it means one doesn't love the other one. You can love by the inner and the surface. It's more magical perhaps glorious.

So if one likes the other one, they only feel attracted by the face, body, or behaviour. Mostly, (I repeat, *MOSTLY*) if one found someone better, they will ditch the other one to chase that 'someone better'. That's the little disadvantage of liking. But liking is not a sin nor a wrong thing to do nor harmful. If you want to like, then like. Just don't make an intention to like if you like more than one person (or more accurate, not being loyal.)

Loving is different. Loving is when one loves the other one no matter how they say how bad the face is. No matter how bad the shape is. No matter what disease one is having. No matter how many pretty ones outside, one still loves the other one unconditionally. But the love sparks can occur from liking. So loving is like a soul meeting another soul and adoring by the soul. Now, loving is not only for lovebirds. You can love your family. You can love your friends. You can love whoever you want.
